Batman made his comic book debut 75 years ago this month, in the May 1939 issue of Detective Comics. There’s a Batman book or movie for pretty much every age/reading stage at the Montclair Library, a testament to his enduring appeal.

This series was recently hailed by the NY Times as the Batman show that “set the 1990s standard,” featuring the voice of Kevin Conroy as “perhaps the all-time Dark Knight interpreter.” NYT 5/18/14)
P.S. – Superhero fans might want to check out the Sunshine & Superheroes exhibit opening today at the Oakland Museum, featuring vintage comic books, Comic-Con paraphernalia, superhero outfits and an interactive photo booth complete with costumes for visitors to try on.
