Sure, OPL offers summer reading programs for kids and teens — but did you know adults can get in on the fun, too?
Readers age 19 and up can read a book and write a short review, or complete three different library activities. Activities are easy and fun, and help you use the library in different ways:
- Download an e-book
- Use a library database
- Check out a CD or DVD
- Donate food to the food bank at the library
- Check out a cookbook (hint: they’re in the 641 section)
- Go to a library program
- Get a Discover & Go pass
- Ask a Librarian a question
- Recommend a book to a friend
Each review or a 3 activities earns you an entry in a raffle for fun prizes like a Kindle Fire HD, a Clipper card, or gift cards from Safeway and Fenton’s.
The contest runs through August 10th, and the grand prize raffle will be held August 24th. See the library for details and an activity card/entry form to get started. Happy reading!
