Detail of original Gatsby cover by Francis Cugat

If you’ve already read The Great Gatsby (or you’re waiting for your hold to come up at the library – it’s a hot commodity right now!) and are looking for some reading to tide you over until Baz Lurhmann’s film adaptation comes out next week, here’s a list Emily Temple put together on Flavorwire of “10 Books to Read While You’re Waiting for ‘The Great Gatsby’ to Come Out.”

The wide-ranging list features “similarly jazzy, indulgent, socially critical reads,” including Rules of Civility by Amor Towles, Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast, and Jazz by Toni Morrison.

PS – For a fascinating look at Gatsby book covers over the years and around the world, see this article from Business Insider.
