Tuesday Night Art Club

We have four more installments of Tuesday Night Art Club planned this year – join us for:

Papercut & Collage an Inspirational Message – September 17
Inspired by the work of Lynn Giunta, we’ll spend some time thinking of positive messages that are meaningful to us and then decorating papers and creating a fun papercut collage to share your reminder with yourself or others.

Play with Pen & Ink for Inktober – October 15
October is Inktober, and we’re going to play with some of the Inktober prompts as we explore different techniques and tools for using pens and ink to make marks on paper, from brushes to dip pens to fineliners and more.

Natural Object Printing – November 19
Using natural objects like leaves, flowers and vegetables, we’ll experiment with different techniques for making positive and negative prints of plants on paper. Come play with shape, pattern and texture as we celebrate nature’s bounty!

Scrape Painting Gift Tags – December 17
Make your own beautiful, colorful, abstract art using scrape painting, where you drop paint onto paper and drag it into a design using a card, scraper or maybe even a squeegee (which were invented in Oakland, btw). We’ll have punches and baker’s twine so you can turn your creations into one-of-a-kind gift tags (or bookmarks!) for the holidays.
