Sportswriter Marcus Thompson talking about Steph Curry – 6:30-8:00pm
Calling all Warriors fans: Long-time Warriors Beat reporter and sportswriter Marcus Thompson will discuss & sign copies of his biography, Golden: The Miraculous Rise of Stephen Curry. Thompson’s exclusive interviews with Curry, his family, teammates and Coach Kerr provide an intimate and perceptive look at this NBA player. Copies of his book will be on sale courtesy of A Great Good Place for Books.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the city-wide strike, this event has been moved to the Family Room at Montclair Presbyterian Church (5701 Thornhill). The library will be closed. Depending on how the strike goes, other events this week may also be affected – please check that the library is open before heading over.

PAWS to Read with BARK Therapy Dogs – 1:30pm
New & practicing readers can read to Natasha, a certified therapy dog who loves listening to kids read. Reading to dogs can help increase kids’ reading confidence, skill and enjoyment.

Create Your Own Holiday Card! (for Teens) – 1:30-2:30pm
Learn how to create a personalized card for family or friends with artists from the Oakland-based Rock Paper Scissors Collective. All supplies are provided. For teens, ages 12-18

Pop-Up TeenZone – 1:30-3:00pm
Come visit the Montclair Branch for a Pop-up TeenZone with crafts. Come hang out and share suggestions for serving you better! Stop on by to make something cool and to chat with your Teen Librarian about books, movies and more!

Montclair Book Worms – 4:00-5:00pm
Do you like to read books & talk about them? Montclair Library Book Worms do just that! Books are aimed at 4th through 6th graders. We meet the first Wednesday of every month (September – June) at 4pm. Snacks will be provided! In December we will be discussing The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.
