Second Annual Mystery Night @ the Montclair Library – 6:30-8:00pm
Local author Steven Gore will talk about his latest Harlan Donnally novel, Night is the Hunter, and share writing advice for others who may be interested in pursuing a similar career in the crime genre.

Books will be available for sale and signing courtesy of A Great Good Place for Books. This event is co-sponsored by the Oakland Public Library and the Friends of the Montclair Library.

PAWS to Read with BARK Therapy Dogs – 1:30pm
Kids! Come practice reading to a gentle dog. Practice your reading skills, pet a dog and just have fun.

Make Musical Instruments – 2:00pm
Come by the library and create something to blow, shake, drum, or possibly a combination of all three. We will be providing the supplies you just need to supply the rhythm. All ages welcome.

Songs, active rhymes and stories especially for ages 18 months to 3 years, followed by playtime! Make new friends and play with toys.

Baby Bounce – 11:30am
Play, sing and rhyme one on one with your baby from birth to 18 months, followed by playtime! Make new friends and play with toys.

Little Explorers Petting Zoo – 11:00am
Meet and learn about lots of live animals. Get to know farm animals up close–goats, llamas, rabbits, chickens and ducks.

Workshop on using eBooks (& other library apps ~ including eMagazines and eMusic) – 3-5pm
Oakland Public Library offers a variety of ebooks and audiobooks for various devices, including iPads, iPods, iPhones, other smartphones, Kindles and more. Learn how to download a variety of digital content any time, to a computer or mobile device. Please bring your fully charged device if you can, and your current library card. This will be one-on-one help. 4 attendees maximum per hour, plus 2 on a wait list. (This workshop will be offered monthly.) Advance sign-up is required, so please RSVP at 482-7810. (Choose from 3 to 4 p.m. or from 4 to 5 p.m.)
