Celebrate National Poetry Month – 6:00pm
Come celebrate National Poetry Month with us! Six local poets (Grace Marie Grafton, Alison Luterman, Lisa Gluskin Stonestreet, Ralph Dranow, Robert Thomas and Katayoon Zandvakili) will be reading their poetry, followed by an open-mic period at 7. Linda Brown, Past President of the California Writers Club, will MC.

PAWS to Read with BARK Therapy Dogs – 1:30pm
Kids! Come practice reading to a gentle dog. Practice your reading skills, pet a dog and just have fun.

Oakland Celebrates Dia with Kirk Waller – 2:00pm
Come celebrate El dia de los ninos/El dia de los libros and Diversity in Action with master storyteller Kirk Waller. He will bring our collective history to life with stories that young and old can share and enjoy together. After Kirk’s performance there will be snacks and a free book giveaway.

Toddler Storytime – 10:15am
Songs, active rhymes and stories especially for ages 18 months to 3 years, followed by playtime! Make new friends and play with toys.

Baby Bounce – 11:30am
Play, sing and rhyme one on one with your baby from birth to 18 months, followed by playtime! Make new friends and play with toys.
