It’s the end of summer, back-to-school time, and just under four weeks until our big Fall Book Sale on September 28th — which means now is the perfect time to clean out your bookshelves and donate your gently-used books to the Friends of Montclair Library. You can drop off book donations at the library during business hours — please don’t leave them outside when the library is closed. Thanks!
If you’re having trouble deciding which books to part with, here’s an essay from the New York Times by Amy Wilentz about culling books that you might identify with. Don’t think of it as getting rid of your books – think of it as sending your books out into the world so others can enjoy them, too. And, of course, the money we raise by selling donated books helps directly support the Montclair branch library. Win-win.
