Maurice Sendak’s birthday

Scene from Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are"

Today’s Google Doodle honors Maurice Sendak, the children’s book author and illustrator who would have turned 85 today.

A quick search for Sendak at the Montclair Library turns up 55 items by and about Sendak in the Children’s section, including a biography of him by Charlotte Guillain, the classic Where the Wild Things Are, the punchy poem about months Chicken Soup with Rice, and the recent “Where the Wild Things Are” movie.
