Support FOPL with a sweet deal

Fenton's sundae photo by Neil Conway via Flickr

During the month of May, Fenton’s Creamery is donating 25% of the price of each Myrtle’s Monthly Creation purchased to the Friends of the Oakland Public Library. This month’s sundae features Cookies N’ Cream ice cream alongside Limited Edition Chocolate ice cream with an Oreo Cream Ribbon and hand-crushed Oreo cookies, topped with house-made hot fudge, whipped cream, a dusting of Oreo crumbles, a cherry, and an Oreo cookie. More details on the FOPL website.

PS – Did you know Rocky Road ice cream was invented right here in Oakland? Want to learn more about ice cream? Check out a book from the Montclair branch like Ice Cream: The Full Scoop by Gail Gibbons or Ice Cream & Frozen Desserts by Peggy Fallon.
