Books for sale!

Just got back from sorting book donations – there are a lot of great books for sale at the library right now! Stop in during regular library hours and browse the selection – if the weather’s nice, adult books are usually outside; if it’s raining, take a right once you get inside to find the adult hardcovers and nonfiction, and a left to get to children’s books and adult paperbacks.

Current highlights (first come, first served): Giada’s Kitchen: New Italian FavoritesGiada’s Kitchen by Giada De Laurentiis; a bunch of Wally Lamb novels; lots of paperback mysteries and juicy reads like The Devil Wears Prada (long holiday plane trip, anyone?); gift-quality hardbacks like Live From New York for your favorite SNL fan and Colin Jones’ Paris for the Francophile; memoirs and biographies like Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky; funny books like Christopher Moore’s Bloodsucking Fiends.

On the kids’ shelf: Classics like The Little Engine that Could and The Little Prince; almost the entire A Series of Unfortunate Events from #1-11 (missing 7 and 8); holiday and winter books about snowmen, the Twelve Days of Christmas and Santa; American Girl books; beautiful copies of three princess-frog kind of books by E.D. Baker; lots of Clifford books and easy readers; kid-pleasing soft-covers like How I Became a Pirate and Officer Buckle & Gloria.
