Book Art Contest

Unbound Book Art and Craft Contest

Sometimes we receive donated books which are too old or damaged to re-sell. The UNBOUND Book Art & Craft Contest challenges artists to give these books new life by turning them into art, a craft or something in between. Sponsored by the Friends of Montclair Library, the contest runs from February-April annually. Look for more details on next year’s contest in early 2018.

The contest is open to residents of Oakland and Piedmont ages 5 through adult, as well as K-12 students who attend school in those cities. Prizes are awarded in three categories: Kids (ages 5-12), Teens (13-18) and Adults (19+).
